FOR MEETINGS

Meeting Tech Roles

Every video conference meeting is encouraged to have these three service roles covered at least, with alternates in case fellows cannot show up for your meeting for any reason:

  1. Meeting Host – Manages Zoom settings, screen sharing, security.

  2. Meeting Screen Sharer – Shares and scrolls through the meeting format

  3. Meeting Tech Support – Acts as backup for the Meeting host as needed.

Videoconference Meeting Basic Best Practices

  • Fill and rotate tech-related service positions regularly

  • To protect anonymity, be sure to disable the AI companion functionality

  • Follow FA’s Zoom bombing prevention guidelines

  • Enable captions for hearing challenged members, if necessary

  • Ensure your members do not post in the chat outside of individual in service positions sharing necessary information timed with prompts in the meeting format

  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive) – Meeting formats, literature sharing, business meeting and other service documents.
