Meeting Info PI Card

This one-panel card asks the question "Are you having trouble controlling the way you eat?" In one page the size of a normal pamphlet, it describes what the program of FA is and what it has to offer the newcomer. The bottom of the card has a QR code that points to FA's meeting finder, and a space to post details about your individual meeting.

Print specific details about your meeting (day, time, location) on standard labels (Avery 5160) and stick a label to the space outlined on the card.

These can be placed in standard pamphlet racks in public spaces such as doctors' offices, libraries, or on community bulletin boards.

Are you having trouble controlling the way you eat?

There is a solution: Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA).

What is FA?
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA) is a program based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). We are a worldwide, diverse fellowship of thousands of individuals who, through shared experience and mutual support, are recovering from the disease of food addiction. There are no dues or fees.

What is food addiction?
As food addicts, our thoughts and behaviors around food or weight became unmanageable. We ate foods we swore we wouldn’t. We obsessed, we hid or stole food, we lied, starved ourselves, over-exercised, purged or gained weight uncontrollably. These irrational behaviors are the hallmarks of addiction.

What does FA offer?
The disease of addiction is physical, mental and spiritual, so we offer a long-term solution that addresses all those areas. We have learned we can’t safely eat foods containing flour or sugar. We eat simple, healthy meals that are weighed out so that we are eating just what we need, taking the focus off of food and on to life. Unlike dieting, with the help of the FA fellowship, we follow the Twelve Steps to change our thinking and behaviors, preventing a return to our destructive ways of eating and behaving. We focus on abstaining from eating addictively just for one day, avoiding the worry of tomorrow.
