Maine Chapter Motion Submission Process 2025-2026

Use this form to submit a motion to the Maine Chapter.
- FA meetings registered with the FA EAI Maine Chapter may submit a motion to the Chapter ByLaws Chair (MEBylaws@foodaddicts.org) for consideration at the WSBC (Deadline for Submissions December 7, 2025)
- The Bylaws Chair will convene an ad hoc committee to review the motions. The ad hoc group will assist the motion-maker in drafting and formatting the motion, consider the merits of the motion, and explain the procedure to the motion-maker.
- The Ad Hoc Committee after research and deliberation submits a written report and provide copies of the motion to the Chapter Board two weeks before the January Board meeting, with a recommendation regarding the merits of the motion (By January 2, 2026)
- The Chapter Board will discuss the merits of the motion and decide whether to advance the motion for consideration to the Chapter Body (If the board decides the motion does not have sufficient merit no further consideration is given). (Presentation to the Board at January 2026 Board Meeting)
- The full Chapter Body will discuss and vote whether to forward the motion to FA World Service Inc (WSI) (February 2026 Chapter Meeting)
