A Call for Service: More Ways Everyone Can Help

Service is a cornerstone of the FA program. Service is how we thrive as an organization and grow spiritually as members. The information below is categorized to help each FA member organize their service efforts –– any service that reaches a fellow sufferer adds to the quality of our own recovery!

FA WEBSITE

  • Explore FoodAddicts.org to discover the full range of available resources.
  • Establish your personal profile, ensure your login details are current, and remember to log in each time you access the website.
  • Subscribe to the bi-monthly FA Newsletter and prioritize staying informed by reading its updates.
  • Use the FA website to update meeting information, register new meetings, order literature, donate to FA, register for conventions, register as a World Service Business Conference member, view motions, volunteer for service, etc.
  • View the World Service Board (WSB) Annual & Quarterly Reports.
  • Select the FA logo on the header of any page to return to the homepage when navigating.
  • Submit any website comments, questions or concerns to the Webmaster web@foodaddicts.org.

SEVENTH TRADITION

  • Kindly and continuously support the Seventh Tradition with your generous donations.
  • Assist World Service Inc. (WSI) in minimizing transaction fees by opting to mail donations instead of submitting by credit card.
  • Subscribe to Connection magazine.
  • Purchase the Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous (FA Book).

FA BOOK

  • Read it. Study it. Enjoy it! Integrate the insights from FA Book into your recovery, your twelve-step study, and your daily life.
  • Ensure that copies of the FA Book are available on the literature table during in-person meetings and included in the virtual literature table at videoconference meetings.
  • Read from the FA Book at Literature meetings.
  • Pass along the FA book, one person at a time, while being mindful not to promote the FA Book or send it to anyone unsolicited.
  • Limit the distribution of the FA Book to health fairs and venues specifically related to food addiction. For guidance, contact the Public Information (PI) Committee PI@foodaddicts.org.
  • Approach presenting the FA Book to the others with utmost modesty and humility at all times.
