Purpose:

  • Plans where and how best to convey information about the FA program to the general public, health care providers, faith community leaders, and other professionals

 

Activities:

  • Community Outreach
    • Informs healthcare professionals and community lay groups about the FA program of recovery through participating in “Information Sessions” and health fairs
  • Media Watch
    • Spreads the word about FA to the medical communities referenced in magazine, web and newspaper articles, and television programs whose subject matter covers the breadth of weight-related issues
  • Teens & Twenties
    • Introduces FA recovery to young people through visits to health fairs and classrooms at high schools and colleges
  • WebLinks
    • Reaches out to colleges, medical communities, and other organizations to request the FA website be listed as a resource
  • Sponsor-A-Trifold-Rack
    • Sets up and maintains racks with informational brochures about FA in the community, and posts FA-approved informational blurbs on appropriate websites
