Attend the Convention

The purpose of FA's annual World Service Business Convention (WSBC), as dictated by our bylaws, is to bring World Service Conference (WSC) members of individual meetings together as a representative body to govern the corporate entity of FA. The focus will be on World Service Inc. (WSI) business and service at the organizational level.

All are welcome to attend. In addition to elected WSC members, anyone who serves on a board or committee at any level--World Service, Intergroup, Chapter, or Local Service Group--is encouraged to attend. FA members who want to learn more about the fellowship, regardless of length of abstinence or time in program, are also welcome and encouraged to attend.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be made on registration and meal plan fees if requested by email to the FA World Service Office ( by DATE in 2020 TBD. We will require you to agree not to dispute the Convention charge with your credit card company for any reason, and to contact the FA World Service Office by email for resolution.

Convention Schedule

The Convention starts  at 10:00am on Friday, June 12 with an FA meeting, followed by The Forum from 1:00pm-5:00pm, and ends at lunchtime on Sunday, June 14. Click here for a printable schedule.

Attend The Forum on Friday from 1:00pm - 5:00pm

The Forum gives us all the opportunity to share what has worked and what has not worked in reaching the newcomer, starting and maintaining healthy meetings, and maintaining our own recovery from food addiction. It will include several break-out sessions, during which recovering food addicts with experience in service will share about a specific topic followed by an open discussion.

Past break-out session topics have included  "Meetings Working Together to Reach the Newcomer: LSG-Driven Public Information," "A Day in the Life on the Frontier," "Demystifying the 12 Traditions of FA," and "The FA Solution: Why We Do What We Do"

Please note that there is no additional charge for The Forum, but to attend it you must register for the Business Convention. Please click (COMING IN 2020) for descriptions of the 2020 Forum Break-Out Sessions. For questions, please contact

Hotel Information

The FA rate for hotel rooms is TBD per night. Hotel reservations are not included in your FA Convention reservation--you must book your room separately.

The FA rate is applicable until our room block sells out, and it applies to the following dates: TBD through TBD.

Rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please book only one room for you and those who will be staying with you. Booking multiple rooms or room blocks lowers the total number of available rooms allotted for the Convention and prevents other FA members from booking rooms at the reduced FA rate.

The hotel is unable to accommodate mini-refrigerators in all FA guest rooms. A limited number of larger refrigerators will be available before, during, and after the Convention in the hotel Hospitality Suite for all registered Conference attendees.
